Yacht water toys: fun and safety

Safety matters a great deal whenever you use the water toys on your luxury yacht, so that both your enjoyment and your personal safety are assured.

1. Proper training and instruction for the water toys on board your luxury yacht: Before you use water toys such as jet skis, wakeboards, water skis or other inflatables, the yacht's crew will give you a proper briefing and instruction. This covers how to use the equipment, the safety rules and a demonstration of the correct techniques.
2. Life jackets and safety equipment: It is important that you wear a life jacket whenever you use water toys. Luxury yachts carry life jackets in a range of sizes so that every guest has one that fits properly. Depending on the particular piece of equipment, additional safety gear such as helmets or protective clothing may also be required.
3. Monitoring and supervision: The yacht's crew will always be close at hand to keep an eye on your activities and to help whenever needed. This applies in particular when you are using fast or potentially dangerous water toys such as jet skis.
4. Knowledge of local regulations: Specific rules and regulations may apply when water toys are used on the open sea or in certain coastal areas. The yacht's crew are familiar with local laws and regulations and make sure that they are observed. These may concern speed limits, designated areas for water sports or other restrictions.
5. Regular maintenance of the water toys: Regular maintenance and inspection of the water toys is essential to make sure they are in perfect condition and working properly. Faulty equipment is repaired or replaced immediately to keep any potential safety risks to a minimum.
6. Communication systems: The luxury charter yacht has effective communication systems that allow fast and reliable contact between guests on the water toys and the crew on board.
