A national park in the Pacific, cruised on authorised vessels with licensed naturalist guides.
The Galápagos Islands are entirely a national park, and that shapes every trip there. They may be cruised only on authorised vessels with licensed naturalist guides on board, and the park authority sets the route. Spontaneous changes of course or freely chosen anchorages do not exist here.
In return you get a voyage unlike that in any other cruising area: the days are paced around landings and wildlife watching, in the company of people who know the islands. The season runs all year, and the most pleasant months are December to May, with warmer water and a calmer sea.
Charters start, for example, from Baltra or San Cristóbal. Because the number of authorised vessels is limited, you should enquire early if you would like to charter in the Galápagos Islands. We settle the yacht, the dates and the permits together with you before you book.
Prices on request. The APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) covers fuel, harbour fees and provisions. It is paid in advance and settled at the end of the charter, and anything left over is refunded to you.
